Fun with Fitbit data and IBM’s Bluemix
It’s been a few months since my IBM developerWorks article–covering an example Node.js application using IBM’s Wearable IoT API–was published. However, since the Bluemix twitter account tweeted about it today, it reminded me of the enjoyable experience I had getting to play with IBM’s Bluemix and the various services available as I developed my demo app and wrote the article.
If you’ve never heard of Bluemix before, Bluemix is IBM’s platform-as-a-service offering, based on the open source CloudFoundry project. IBM is a key member of and contributor to the CloudFoundry community and has a strong commitment to the ongoing success of the project.
Please take a look at the article, and if you own a Fitbit, register it on the IBM Wearable’s site and then play around with my application live on Bluemix: http://getmoarsteps.mybluemix.net
If you have any thoughts or comments, leave them here or join the IBM DevOps project and provide a patch to do something more interesting!
